Moville Pottery is a working pottery studio and shop located in the heart of Moville, County Donegal, where traditional craftsmanship meets hands on creative experiences. All of our pottery is designed and made on site in our attached studio, allowing visitors to see authentic Irish ceramics being created just steps from where they are sold.
Our shop showcases a wide range of handmade pottery including mugs, bowls, plates, vases and decorative homeware, each piece individually crafted and glazed by hand. Inspired by the rugged beauty of the Inishowen coastline and the ever changing colours of the Atlantic, our ceramics reflect the character and landscape of Donegal in both form and finish. No two pieces are ever exactly the same, making every item a unique and meaningful purchase.
As well as selling our own pottery, we offer creative activities that make Moville Pottery a memorable destination for visitors, families and groups exploring the Wild Atlantic Way. Our popular Paint Your Own Pot experience allows people of all ages to decorate a piece of pottery using a variety of brushes and colours, creating a personal design that can be kept as a lasting souvenir of their time in Donegal.
For those who want to try something even more hands on, our Make Your Own Pot experience gives visitors the chance to sit at the potter’s wheel and attempt to shape their own piece of pottery under guidance. It is a fun, relaxed introduction to the traditional craft of wheel throwing and a unique opportunity to experience how Irish pottery is made from start to finish.
